Launch & Build Record

• Owned and operated Omaha Bicycle Company, a neighborhood commuter bicycle and coffee shop that doubled as a community advocacy hub

• Co-founded and co-led Mode Shift Omaha, a city-wide transportation equity nonprofit

• Launched and managed Greenstreet Cycles, downtown Omaha’s first commuter bicycle shop

• Co-created and co-hosted the Carfree Midwest Podcast

• Established a neighborhood rapid response and mutual aid network in St. Paul that still meets weekly

• Co-owned and co-operated The Village Hub, a neighborhood bicycle and coffee shop in Grand Lake, CO

Policy & Systems Navigation

• Reversed Omaha Metro Transit's system-wide ban on electric bicycles and worked with Parks & Recreation Department to secure 24/7 trail access

• Worked with Omaha City Council to prohibit parking in bike lanes and pass a pawn shop ordinance increasing accountability for second-hand bike sales

• Pushed Omaha's Mayor to adopt a Vision Zero plan, and worked with Public Works Department to create a sidewalk detour standard

• Campaigned for Omaha City Council’s District 1 seat in 2021 earning more than 5,500 votes

• Founded Council Club, a local government accountability and resident advocacy group to help Omahans understand the inner workings of City Council and how to make their voices heard at City Hall

• Worked with the City of St. Paul to establish a year-long, on-street bike corral pilot project by creatively utilizing funds from a new commercial corridor vibrancy grant

Community Activation & Engagement

• Installed Omaha's first on-street bike corral in partnership with the City's Bike/Pedestrian Coordinator

• Worked with Omaha’s Blackstone Business Improvement District to launch a safe streets pilot program

• Planned, coordinated, and executed countless Omaha community events, group bike rides, classes, rallies, and public testimonies

• Introduced pedicabs and associated policy framework for their use in Omaha, and coordinated valet bike parking during the College World Series

• Utilized grant funding to implement an on-street demonstration project converting a parking spot in downtown Omaha into a “parklet”, creating an opportunity for community conversations concerning road safety

• As a new-to-St. Paul resident, established “Front Porch Friday” as a way to encourage neighbors to meet and get to know each other (and it’s still going strong!)

Grant & Funding Expertise

• Wrote, won, and executed $275,000 in grant funding in a single year for an Omaha grassroots transportation nonprofit

• Wrote, won, and executed a parklet grant in partnership with Omaha’s Spark CDI

• Designed and administered a microgrant program for small businesses along a commercial corridor in St. Paul

• Creatively utilized a new city-wide grant to pitch an on-street bike corral pilot project to expand and improve bicycle parking across St. Paul

• Raised over $30,000 for vulnerable St. Paul families during recent Federal immigration enforcement operations, and co-produced a benefit concert and artist market that raised over $10,000 for impacted immigrant families
